I read Nancy Kelley‘s first book His Good Opinion last year and absolutely loved it. Therefore, when I saw that there was a second book in the series ready for my reading pleasure, I didn’t hesitate to pick it up and get straight into it.

It’s that time again, time to read another Pride and Prejudice spin-off. The one I picked this time was another of my very favourite kind – what happens from Darcy’s point of view after that infamous proposal at Rosings. This variation provides a slightly different spin on things in that the timeline of events changes and some read more »

It’s been a while since I read a Pride and Prejudice variation, and I was beginning to feel a little bereft as a result. I’d seen Bewitched, Body and Soul by P.O. Dixon on Goodreads, through someone that I follow, and it seemed as good a book as any to try to satisfy my Austen craving with.

I’ve read one of Abigail Reynolds‘ Pride And Prejudice variations before, Mr Darcy’s Refuge, and I absolutely loved it. I wanted to give another one of her variations a go and What Would Mr Darcy Do was the first of the remaining five that caught my attention.

Pride & Prejudice is one of my favourite books of all time. I’ve read it a few times now and I never get bored; I also love watching the numerous film and TV adaptations and reading follow-on fan fiction. This novel is how I was first introduced to Jane Austen, and it’s a love that read more »

I had read about Mr Darcy’s Refuge on Twitter – several of the authors I follow were promoting it’s release – it looked like a good read so read more »

It’s been a while since I read an Austen spin-off novel, so I opted for Mr Darcy Takes The Plunge – billed as a fun, light-hearted, jokey approach to Austen’s Pride and Prejudice. I wasn’t expecting much when I started reading, as I’m quite loyal to the original story, but I was pleasantly surprised by read more »

As I’ve said in the past, I love all things Jane Austen and I really enjoy reading fan-fiction based on her stories (particularly the ones based on Pride and Prejudice). I follow a lot of book-type people on Twitter and one recently tweeted that His Good Opinion by Nancy Kelley was free on Amazon Kindle for read more »

As discussed in my first book review, for Mr Darcy’s Diary, I am huge fan of Jane Austen novels and all of the spin-off stories that have come from them over the years. When I heard about Death Comes To Pemberley by P.D. James, it sounded a little different from the other novels based on read more »
